Our Story
Brendan and Mary Gervin are the inspiration behind Sanville Group of Care Homes. They set up their own Care Home back in 1986 and their children were proud to follow in their footsteps and continue their legacy; bringing their care concept into the modern world.
Timeline to Success.
1986
Mary had spent her working life as a social worker and was fascinated and perplexed in equal measure that good service and high standards seem to have passed the care industry by. As a result of this, Mary and Brendan Gervin opened a 16 bedroom residential home near Newmills Tyrone. Set on fantastic grounds overlooking Roughan Lough and by a 16th century Castle, this idyllic location was the perfect setting for their first venture in the care industry. Roughan House continued to be a residential home for 30 years until 2016.
1991
Mary and Brendan opened a purpose built care home, namely Sanville Private Nursing Home, with the aim to provide “Luxury Living and Exceptional Care”. Their view was to always ensure that all residents and their families received first-class service; Mary was determined to ensure that residents coming to live in a Sanville Care Home would be entertained, wined and dined, and treated like royalty! Mary’s children were also passionate about care and they all worked in the business whilst growing up.

2016
With plans to extend the business, the family set up a new company which became known as Sanville Group. The company purchased Hamilton Court Care Home in Armagh. Following upgrades and refurbishment the Group transformed this home from being a home close to closure to a thriving 40 bed dedicated dementia home. The home is renowned in the local area for its high level of care and contemporary styling.
2009
Sadly, Mary passed away and members of the wider family got more involved in the family business, providing additional support to Brendan.
2017
Sanville Group acquired Drumclay care home Enniskillen. The home was owned and operated for 18 months by Sanville Group. Following extensive refurbishment and restructuring Drumclay was sold to a third party English investor. The same year, Sanville Group acquired County Care Home in Enniskillen. The home was acquired from the former Four Season NI group and has undergone extensive redecoration and refurbishment. This 51 bedroom home is widely regarded as one of the top care homes in the Western Trust, and the Group continue to rejuvenate and develop the home for 21st century living.
2024
Sanville Group acquired Glenview Care Home in Cabragh, Dungannon. We were delighted to welcome the full Glenview team into the Sanville Group family and we are looking forward to building on the already strong foundations of this 45 bedroom home.
