Just moments away from Armagh centre is Hamilton Court, a lovely Care Home with a real family feel.
Hamilton Court is fully dedicated to providing round the clock specialist care for those who are living with dementia. We’ve created a safe and caring environment for our residents and a warm and welcoming community, and you can sense this as soon as you walk through the door.
Our staff have been hand-picked for their skills, professionalism, and most importantly their compassion. They go above and beyond to ensure our residents are comfortable, safe, secure happy and 'enjoying their day'.
Our clinical staff are trained to understand the different types of dementia and the different ways it can present itself. Whether experiencing memory loss, communication difficulties, behavioural changes or other symptoms, they gently accompany our residents and their families on their dementia journeys whilst being encouraging, supporting and reassuring at all times. All our staff, including support staff, are trained to manage the changing needs of our residents and we’ve promoted a culture where everyone is patient, tolerant, kind, observant and always encouraging.
At Hamilton, we believe the place you call home is just as important as the care you receive, which is why we have invested greatly in improving the look, feel and functionality of our Care Home. You'll find relaxing lounge areas, a conservatory, comfortable dining rooms, sociable coffee areas and an engaging activity room, and every resident has their own spacious private bedroom to relax in. We also have a beautiful courtyard area where residents like to spend time whenever the weather is on our side.
At Hamilton Court, our very own chefs produce fresh home cooked, nutritious meals and snacks for our residents that can be enjoyed in sociable or private surroundings. We also have an onsite leisure and wellness activity coordinator who organises a meaningful weekly activities calendar for residents, involving them in the likes of arts and crafts, choir practice, gardening, chair exercises or simply taking time to sit with a resident and just 'be there' for them.
