Celebrating Our Remarkable Nurses at Sanville Group!

Today, on International Nurses Day, we are celebrating the incredible nursing professionals who work within the Sanville Group family. Their dedication, compassion, and skill make a world of difference in the lives of our residents and their loved ones, every day.

Our nurses come from all walks of life, bringing unique skills and experience to the table. Below, you can read about some of our nurses and find out how we’re supporting them and helping secure the future of nursing.

Experience and Expertise

Some of our nurses have dedicated decades to the nursing industry and we are privileged to benefit from their experience and expertise. For instance Myrtle at The County has a remarkable 44 years of experience in nursing! Sharon, our Operational Manager, and Caroline, our Manager at The County, each bring over 30 years of invaluable knowledge to their roles. And Grace, at Hamilton Court, has been a dedicated nurse for 29 years, with nearly two decades specifically serving the Hamilton community.

Fresh Perspectives and Growth

We have newly qualified nurses like Lisa at The County and Naomi and Celine at Hamilton Court, whose fresh perspectives and enthusiasm keep us inspired. We have supported these individuals - and others - through our supportive Career Pathway and Preceptorship Programs, facilitating their transition from care and ancillary roles to registered nurses. And we continue to provide ongoing training to our nurses throughout their careers.

A Global Family

Sanville Group is proud to have nurses from all over the world, including Philippines; Africa; India, and they have become integral parts of our homes. Rachael at The County is a shining example. She was one of the first nurses to join us from Nigeria and she, like all our other nurses from overseas, has integrated seamlessly into our team. We extend our assistance to overseas nurses pursuing their studies, aiding them in obtaining the necessary qualifications such as the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) which enables them to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Investing in the Future

Looking ahead, we recognise the importance of nurturing the next generation of nurses. As an accredited educational facility, in partnership with Queens University and Ulster University, we provide enriching opportunities for student nurse placements. Currently, we have Emma and Grace completing placements with us at Hamilton Court and Isobel and Ruairi at The County. By supporting future healthcare heroes, we can help ensure continued exceptional care for our residents.

This is just a very small snapshot of our wider nursing team, but every single one of our nurses is amazing!

To show our appreciation for our nursing team and to celebrate their dedication to our residents we’re taking a bit of time out today with delicious cakes made with love by our resident chefs and beautiful cards made with love by our residents.

Thank you to all nurses for everything that you do!

Card from a resident to the nurses
The words on the card are from Anne, a resident at Hamilton Court, on behalf of all the residents.
