Here at Sanville Group, we have been overwhelmed with the generosity of our local communities this year.
Schools and groups from the the Armagh and Fermanagh communities have given up their precious time to brighten up our days and get us all in the Christmas spirit. As well as carol singing, we've had captivating Irish dancing displays and performances from some of the most talented musicians.
Our Homes have been filled with music, laughter and chats throughout December, and residents, loved ones and staff have enjoyed every moment.
Lucy Hamilton, our activities and wellbeing coordinator at Hamilton Court, said:
“What a special December we’ve had thanks to all these wonderful, kind people that have come to entertain us. We really have been blown away by so many people giving up their precious time to come in and see us.
"Our residents espcially love the visits from the children and they never stop smiling as soon as they arrive. They've been singing along to the carols and the singing continues long after the children have left.
"We've definitely built up some new friendships and one of our New Years resolutions will be to continue building on the new friendships."
Comments from the residents included:
"They were all very good. I love children and it was lovely to have them in our home. It couldn't have been any better."
"It was so lovely to have them. I hope they come back soon."
And those visiting the Homes enjoyed themselves just as much, with visitors saying:
"It was lovely. We were made extremely welcome and were given a beautiful Christmas card made by the residents."
"Thank you to Hamilton Court for inviting us to join you for a morning of festive cheer."
