This week, The County Care Home enjoyed a special celebration of Holi, the vibrant Hindu festival of colours. The celebration was inspired by our valued Hindu nurses, who wished to share their culture with residents and colleagues.

Holi marks the arrival of spring and celebrates the victory of good over evil. Celebrated by Hindu communities globally, it’s a time for joy, forgiveness, and new beginnings.
While the staff opted for subtle, colourful face markings instead of the traditional colour throwing, the spirit of the festival was beautifully captured. The staff also took the time to explain the meaning of Holi, sharing stories and traditions.
This celebration reminded everyone of the beauty of cultural diversity and the joy of shared experiences.
There will be more celebrations this weekend and next week with St Patrick's Day.
